This workout combines plyometric drills and resisted sprinting to develop and train acceleration positions and core stability. Using jumps, bounds, and sled sprints, it trains your ability to produce maximum force quickly while maintaining sprint quality under fatigue.

For resisted sprints, use 10–30% of your bodyweight as load. Be sure to factor in the weight of the sled itself, and adjust as needed—too much resistance will slow you down and reduce sprint quality.

 

This workout is best done outdoors on turf or grass, or indoors if you have access to an indoor track or athletic facility with turf. Cleats aren’t required but can be worn for added traction.
